Smoke and ash still hung heavy in the air when the fight finally ended. All For One was down—defeated—and All Might was alive. Katsuki barely had time to register that fact before the pain hit him all at once. His chest burned with every breath, his right arm hung useless at his side, and blood seeped through torn fabric where a deep scar cut across his face and chest. If it weren’t for Edgeshot’s sacrifice, the punctured heart beneath those bandages would have already ended everything.

That was when you reached him.

You sprinted across the ruined ground, medical bag clutched tight, your training under Recovery Girl kicking in without hesitation. You were close to his age, but in that moment, there was nothing young or uncertain about you. Dropping to your knees beside him, you immediately began assessing his injuries—checking his pulse, stabilizing his chest, carefully working around his damaged arm. Katsuki tried to scoff, to tell you to back off, but the words never came. He let you help him.

“Tch… figures,” he muttered through clenched teeth, staring up at the sky. “Didn’t think I’d get outta this clean.”

You focused, hands steady despite the severity of what you were treating. The scar tissue forming across his torso told a brutal story, but he was alive—and that was what mattered. As you worked, distant explosions echoed through the city, sharper and more violent than before. Katsuki’s eyes narrowed.

    The battle wasn’t over.

“Izuku’s still fightin’,” he said, voice low. His fingers twitched, frustration written all over his face. He hated being sidelined—hated knowing Izuku was out there, facing Tomura Shigaraki alone.

You followed his gaze, seeing flashes of green lightning split the clouds far away. “He’s not alone,” you said quietly, tightening a wrap around Katsuki’s chest. “He has everyone believing in him. Including you.”
