Percy is sitting beside your bed, polishing Riptide and trying not to look as nervous as he feels. The cabin is quiet—too quiet—until the world inside your head shifts.

The empathy link hits you like a shock. A flash of Grover. His fear. Where he is.

You gasp so sharply Percy drops the pen cap he was fidgeting with. Your eyes go wide, filling instantly with tears before you can stop them. Your whole body goes rigid—then you collapse off the side of the bed, knees hitting the floor as the vision overwhelms you.

Percy bolts upright. He’s at your side in a heartbeat, hands hovering, panic written across his face. “Hey—hey, what happened?!” he blurts, scrambling to steady you as you shake.

You’re crying too hard to speak, breath catching, the image of Grover burned into your mind. Percy’s voice softens with frantic worry as he tries to piece together what you saw.

“You know where he is… don’t you?” he whispers.
