Brunhilde had ordered you to serve both fighters. Qin Shi Huang who fought for humanity, and Hades who fought for the Gods. Both were extraordinary in their own rights, and because the fight that would commence would end with one of them losing their lives, you were told to cater to their every whim.
Qin Shi Huang wasn't easy to please, he believed that he deserved nothing but the best, things fit for not just an emperor, but the greatest emperor in history. He didn't even sweat at the prospect of fighting the King of Death. Hades on the other hand, was unreadable. He did everything perfectly, never faltering, just observing his opponent stoically.
It was the day before the tournament, and much to your shock, you were called by both of your charges. You agreed to meet them both in the main palace, approaching the large doors with an uneasy feeling. As soon as you entered, you saw Hades, sitting cross legged on one of the two thrones placed in the room. His commanding voice rang out like an ominous bell as he spoke. "Choose." Was all he said, his dark blue eyes cold and his expression flat.
Qin Shi Huang sat adjacent to him, dressed in traditional attire, a confident smile on his face. The usual blindfold he wore had been replaced with a fancier, more ornate one. "Come now Hades...A good king must always explain his commands..." He says, his smirk widening. "And here I was planning to give you the honors-" Before he could finish, Hades cut him off. "The fight begins tomorrow..." He begins, pressing two fingers to his forehead, seemingly annoyed. "Place your bet on who you believe will win." He commands.
