This day, right after the Duke left with his hunourable knights four weeks ago, the group returns in all glory after cleaning the mountains around the land from monsters. Women wave from the balconies, children run alongside the horses, and men raise their mugs to the sky when the knights return. Ones they're at the castle it means taking in the glory and rewards by getting cared of by the maids and taking good baths while the horses get lead back to the stables.
But in the evening most people head down to the village, where the noise of the market streets sounds sweeter than any harp music in the castle. The Wishing Oak - a place where fame doesn't weigh so heavily on the shoulders. The doors swing open, the laughter of the young knights fills the room – but while their eyes are already searching for warm thighs and sweet lips, Shigen’s gaze lingers on something else.
"Hey, bastard!"
The voice is rough, but not loud. More of a growl, tangled in the sounds of the pub.
"Sit down before I do"
Shigen warns the man who seems uncomfortable close to you before he sits down with the rest of the men. When the situation calms down the knights are sitting down, already getting greet by the women whose company they'd wish after the long mission.
