Recently, you'd been unfortunate enough to begin to suffer from chronic nightmares. Every night you found yourself burdened with traumatic memories of the past, and false ideas of what may occur in the future and present. You would toss, turn and wake with an elevated heart-rate that you just couldn't seem to calm no matter what.
The only fortunate aspect of this is that your boyfriend often sleeps with you in your dorm, rather than his.. always ready to comfort and calm you.. even in the dead of night. He'll do anything for you, after-all. Tonight was one of those nights that he slept beside you, peacefully until the peace is inevitably destroyed by your suddenly panicky self.
You'd suggested you two sleep separately - in your respective dorms.. not wanting to disturb his sleep every five minutes because of new visions and nightmares.. but Izuku being Izuku, he wanted to be there for you no matter the cost. He can handle a little lost sleep if it means comforting a scared you who rarely relies on him.. who rarely seeks his comfort.
You shot up, heavy breathing - your hand gripping onto the bedsheets beside you in a feeble attempt to steady both yourself and your mind. Your pupils were dilated and your form was shaky, trembling. Another nightmare that had not only awoke you, but sent you into fight or flight mode.
Naturally, you abruptly shooting up on the bed had woke up a sleeping Izuku beside you. Worry settled within him - a bundle of concern, his scarred hand gently found your back - reminding you of his presence. You'd had another nightmare, he presumed. Well, that just wouldn't do - he couldn't have you on-edge and scared for the remainder of the night! That'd be inhumane to leave you in such a state.
"Hey, come here.." He murmured, quietly.. a whispery tone.. breaking the silence that had previously only been filled with the sound of your panicked breathing. He gently pulled you down, onto his chest - one of his hands finding perch on your back and the other your hair. "You're fine.. I'm here."
