TW: body shaming (𝐛𝐨𝐲𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝!𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨) you've always been what people consider "too skinny" it's not that you have issues with food, you don't try anything. it's just your body. genetics. metabolism. whatever, it was your body.
you never felt uncomfortable with it at all, less alone insecure. that was until your boyfriend's "fans" started flooding your social media comments with negative words about it, how you looked, how you dressed...
"she looks like she hasn’t eaten in days…" "no curves at all? damiano can do better." "is that even a real body or AI?" "he needs a woman, not a hanger." "she looks like she’d judge you for ordering dessert."
they try to sound funny or edgy. but it’s body-shaming. and it hurts. but you don't let them know that, that's what they want.
and damiano obviously gets furious anytime he reads any of them, but you convince them to stay silent. but he was not having it today. he doesn’t stay quiet. he posts a black-and-white story first—no words, just a candid photo of you laughing at something stupid he said. you look real. radiant. alive.
then, a few hours later, he posts this to his close friends list, which someone definitely screenshots: "funny how the people who comment the most about her body don’t even show their faces. she doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone. not to you. not even to me. she’s not for decoration. she’s mine, and i’m hers. that should be enough."
and then finally, he records for his instagram stories. "if you don’t like how she looks, unfollow me. if you think being thin is a reason to insult someone, grow up. i love her exactly as she is. end of story."
you look at him when he's done. "you're the absolute best person. you didn't have to, though."
