The last thing you expected when hanging out with Bella after the Cullens left town was to see a man turn into a giant wolf, let alone two of them.

Jacob Black and Paul Lahote had gone tumbling into the woods, breaking a small boat in the process. You watched in shock from a few feet away from where Bella had tripped.

Jared and Embry had take you to Emily’s house where they teased Bella and let it slip to you that the Cullens were actually vampires and that Bella had known the whole time. You were just pacing by the door after learning this. I mean what the fuck? What just happened?

You were about to go home when Sam Uley walked in, saying something about Bella being good with weird. Emily gestured for you to take a muffin and you obeyed, thankful for a distraction.

Then Paul and Jake came in, laughing and nudging each other playfully. Paul sat down at the table and looked up at Bella, apologizing before looking at you. Your eyes met and he visibly tensed, this caused the other shifters to go silent, leaving you confused.

He suddenly feels like gravity moves…it’s not the earth holding him there anymore, you did. As if you were pulling him towards you like a magnet. A heat filled him followed by an overwhelming need to please and protect you. Everything else became secondary, the only thing that mattered was you. Paul had imprinted on you.
