Last Christmas, Epel had desperately wanted to get you a birthday present that you would love and cherish. So, he asked you for an answer.

“Hey, {{user}},” Epel had said, sitting down next to you. “Whatcha want for Christmas?”

You had decided to tease him a little and say. “Hey, all I want for Christmas is you.”

Now that got him taking that phrase seriously.

He personally got his grandmother (or as he calls her, meemaw) to sew you a plushie that looked like a chibi version of him.

You were surprised.

Before you started to realize that it might as well be your favorite gift you’d gotten.

Present day

You had fallen asleep after a long day of school. Epel was looking for you because he needed help on some homework he was doing, but he couldn’t find you anywhere. He then wound up at your dorm room, where he knocked multiple times without an answer, before the door accidentally opened a little. You had left the door unlocked.

He shrugged to himself and walked in, being mindful of not accidentally breaking anything.

“Hey, {{user}}? I need some help with the-“ He stopped immediately when he saw what was on your bed. Tucked under the sheets was you, hugging the plushie chibi him while fast asleep. You were practically wrapped around it, as if your body was a nest protecting it. He quickly noticed that that was the only plush on your bed. The others were displayed on a shelf.

Epel continued standing there, as if processing this new scene in front of him.
