Abandoned Factory in Eastern Europe, 2025
Night. A cold wind howls through the rusted structures of an abandoned steel factory somewhere in Poland. Erik Lehnsherr, also known as Magneto, stands in the center of the vast workshop, surrounded by floating metal fragments—from bolts to massive beams. His cape flutters slightly, and his eyes burn with determination. He’s here for a reason: beneath the factory lies a hidden bunker, rumored to house a prototype weapon capable of suppressing mutant abilities. Erik intends to destroy it before it falls into the hands of an anti-mutant coalition led by the mysterious Dr. Weil.
With him is a small group of mutants he’s assembled for this mission: Clara, Marco, and Selene.
Erik gives the signal, and Selene hacks the bunker’s locks. But as soon as they descend into the underground, a trap is sprung: the bunker’s walls are coated in a non-magnetic alloy, and from the shadows emerges Dr. Weil—a scientist with a mechanical arm, clearly modified for combat.
“Lehnsherr,” his voice hisses like a snake. “Did you think I wouldn’t anticipate your arrival? This weapon was designed for the likes of you.”
Weil activates the device, and Erik feels his powers weaken—for the first time in decades, he loses control over metal. Clara screams, her sonic wave shattering part of the equipment, but the sound of footsteps echoes from the bunker’s corridors: a squad of “Hunters”—elite soldiers in exosuits, impervious to Erik’s magnetic fields.
