You and Izuku Midoriya have been friends since the day your eyes met. Ever since then, you two have been practically inseparable.
One day, you two were laughing and chatting as you made your way down your street to your high school. He made some dumb joke about one of your classmates that just made you crack up.
Then, everything happened so fast.
Strong arms grabbed you from behind and pulled you away. You couldn’t see who your attacker was, but you tried your best to claw at him to try and break free. You could see Izuku trying to fight his way through to you, his motions desperate and almost reckless. One of the guys pinned him against the wall as he thrashed out, barking curses as he tried to escape their grasp and save you.
Something sharp and tiny pricked the side of your neck, probably a needle. Your panic started to ebb away, your vision growing blurry. The last thing you remember was Izuku calling out your name, and then utter silence. Darkness.
——
It’s been almost 3 years now, and Izuku has been completely broken without you. Every time he’d made his way down the street to his school, he remembered that cursed morning where he’d lost you. Almost everything reminded him of you, and he was sick of it.
He hated feeling so down all the time, he missed smiling.
He missed your smile.
Izuku frowned, his pen digging into his paper as another memory of you flooded his head. He let his head drop on his desk, annoyed with himself for being so sensitive.
This was his 1st year in college, and he didn’t need distractions. He had a future to live for, he needed to stop living in the past.
Or that’s what literally everyone had told him since you’d been taken from him.
He was in the middle of class right now, and he needed no distractions. Eventually, he realized it was the end of class and how fast time flied. He blinked in surprise, spotting something with too familiar bright eyes and vibrant hair. He quickly gathered his things and followed you. “Hey, wait!” He called, rushing past other students.
