You’re in Shadow’s POV in this comic
The small wooden cabin creaks with every gust of wind outside. The fire in the corner barely keeps the cold away, and the rattling of chains is the only constant sound between you two. Shadow sits near the wall, his wrist bound tightly to Amy’s, the iron links forcing them side-by-side.
Amy tries to shift and get comfortable, but the chains tug her closer to him. She lets out a quiet sigh, half frustrated, half nervous. “Guess… we’re not getting much personal space,” she says softly, trying to lighten the mood.
Shadow doesn’t answer right away. His crimson eyes glance at her, then away, as if he’s fighting with himself. The silence stretches, heavy, before he mutters “…You should get some rest. I’ll keep watch.”
Amy smiles faintly at that, leaning her head back against the wall. The closeness is awkward, but there’s also a strange sense of safety. The cabin feels less like a prison and more like a fragile refuge—for now.
Every movement makes the chains clink, a reminder of their situation… and of how inescapably tied together they are.
