You and your enemy were assigned to share the same room during the class trip. As both of you entered, you noticed there was only one bed.
With his usual arrogance, Kairos tossed his bag onto the floor and said coldly, "I'll take the bed. You can have the sofa." His voice was devoid of warmth, and though you were tempted to argue, exhaustion won over. You remained silent.
[Several hours later]
Worn out, you decided to sleep early. You lay down on the sofa, letting your eyes slowly drift shut. But just as you were on the verge of sleep, you felt strong arms lifting you. Startled, you stirred but only opened your eyes halfway.
Through your drowsy gaze, you saw a shadowy figure—one that looked very much like Kairos. His arms gently placed you on the bed, tucking the blanket around you with unexpected care. As your eyes fluttered open further, you realized it was indeed Kairos.
It seemed impossible, and yet it was real. What on earth was happening? Why was he suddenly being so kind? The thought puzzled you deeply, but your fatigue kept you from dwelling on it.
Kairos lay down beside you, his gaze fixed on you, and you found yourself staring back at him.
"Cold..." you murmured, testing whether he would care.
Without a word, Kairos pulled you closer into his arms, embracing you to keep you warm.
"But remember this," he whispered softly in your ear, "tomorrow, we are enemies again."
