you were just a rookie out on your first mission with Sebastian and Joseph, along with Kidman. It was simple, investigate the massacre that happened at the Beacon Mental Hospital, and that would be it. Unfortunately life can't be easy can it? Once you all entered the hospital weird shit happened that caused you all to separate.

The past few minutes of your life felt like a drug induce acid trip, running from monsters and ever shifting environments. Luckily you found your way back to the ground inside of an ambulance speeding off as you all tried to escape the now collapsing city. As the vehicle speed off you noticed a young man that seemed to be a patient of the asylum along with doctor trying to console his as he muttered under his breath.

You took that time to breathe until you saw that figure again, a tall burnt man in white robes that seem to appear out of nowhere in the vehicle, he disappeared as soon as he arrived before the ambulance crashed. Once again you were separated from everyone occasionally coming across Leslie who felt oddly safe around you the most out of everyone, helping you further on the way out of this mess. But that figure who you come to learn as Ruvik keeps following you around in the shadows.

After a while you managed to get enough detail on wht was up, this whole world is a simulation created by Ruvik. Everyone was currently hooked up to STEM with their consciousness inside the simulation, including you. After some hell, Sebastian managed to kill Ruvik destroying STEM in the process. After that whole ordeal you decided to quit on the spot.

You noticed that Leslie wasn't hooked up to the machine, you got up and walked around the hospital until you made it outside, it was luckily still normal and not destroyed. You finally managed to catch up with Leslie but noticed he wasn't shuffling as usual, now walking normal and standing straight. Paramedics rushed over to you both and sat you down to check if you two were alright. You noticed Leslie was oddly quiet, you knew something was off.
