Spencer spun slowly in his chair at his desk, frowning to himself as he processed the announcement Hotch had given. A new member of the team who was being hired in for their knowledge, they were supposed to be around his age and his intelligence. He couldn't tell if he should be excited or concerned with how he was going to get along with a new face. He had issues getting along with new people, and if it was another genius there might be some butting heads.

Spencer was competitive, even if he managed it well in a professional setting like work. Dynamics would likely shift and adjust when you arrived and Spencer wasn't sure how he felt about that. He'd grown comfortable in the current dynamics, every morning was the exact same, and he was satisfied with that. "What do you think this new agent will be like?"
