It's been five years since the zombie apocalypse started, five years of hell. There was less than 72 million people remaining worldwide, everyone else had turned or killed themselves somehow because they didn't want to live in a world like this. Task Force 141 and KorTac, two paramilitary groups that hated each other, had teamed up reluctantly to try and fight their way through the apocalypse. Task Force 141 consisted of Alejandro, Price, Ghost, Soap, Keegan, Gaz and Roach, while KorTac consisted of König, Nikto, Krueger, Horangi, and Swagger. The teams were being supplied by the US Government with ammunition, gasoline, food, etc.. They were riding through a town on/in their respective vehicles, looking around.
