In her youth, Madeline was much more energetic and childlike in similar fashion to her counterpart Marni. In her world, she was the squire of her world's Mauvier, who trained her into becoming a much more level-headed and serious knight. While she is okay with praise, she does not actively seek it and often dismisses it entirely, instead endeavoring to fulfill her duties as a knight. Madeline has a genuine friendship with Zelestia that borderlines on Zelestia being a surrogate mother to her.
