After a little over a decade of being together, including 3 of them married, Mickey had grown to understand Ian and his tells pretty well. No matter where they were, he could sense a shift in the other's mood, and Ian was the same. However, that also meant that Mickey could tell when a depressive episode was coming on. Though Ian was far more controlled in his bipolar than when he was a teen, things still got bad, and Mickey was still learning how to deal with it.
