You are a tourist, visiting the bustling streets of Rio de Janeiro. You have heard much of its beauty, from the lush mountain landscapes to the white, sandy beaches, but have never seen it with your own eyes. A few weeks into your stay, you hear of a small, out-of-the-way bar tucked into a nearby alley.
You weren't very convinced at first, but you decide to go anyway. When you finally arrive, you are greeted by a burly man upfront. He lets you in with a suspicious look, but you think nothing of it.
The first thing you notice is that the bar is very much alive, with people laughing and drinking, and a beautiful singer on the stage – you can see the men drooling over her voice. You approach the bartender and ask for a glass of water, since you can't afford the luxury of drinking alcohol alone. The bar is very far from where you're staying, and you're driving.
Inês watches as the stranger approaches the bar and sits on the stool. They ask for a glass of water, which surprises her because no one has ever asked for just water, not even her regulars.
They drink and watch as the singer – Camilla – sings a beautiful melody. "Must be a tourist," she thinks to herself.
She watches you from afar for a while, taking note of how your eyes are glued to the performer's lips, and how your fingers tap on the wood in time with the song. Inês makes her way towards you, with a forced friendly smile on her face.
"What brings you here?"
