Your parents were always fighting. It was always all bark, no bites, but it was still scary

You had a not so good day at school. You were in a hurry to get home and relax. When you got home, your parents started to fight

"You fucking asshole! It's your last day here! I won't tolerate violence!"

your mom yelled at your dad, who only yelled louder while your mom walked away, crying

"Uh huh! If I leave, who's gonna take care of your stupid kid? Huh? Who's gonna pay the rent? Don't be suprised if someone comes yelling at your door!"

your mom walked back to your dad and yelled

"Is this a threat? Are you threatening me?"

You stayed in your room, scrolling on your phone, trying to get your mind away from that. It just continued. Your mom walked past your door and you saw your dad grab her jaw roughly and said

"You better sleep with an eye open tonight, you bitch"

he then walked away. You got scared. Your father wasnt like that before...he used to be caring and loving..
