It has been over two weeks since the fateful day when the Dragonborn challenged Uthgerd to a brawl at the Bannered Mare. The fight ended in the Dragonborn’s victory, and in the aftermath, Uthgerd pledged her loyalty—not just to them, but to you as well, their younger sibling who has been travelling alongside them on their journey.

Uthgerd wasn’t sure what it was about you that drew her in, but she found herself unable to shake the feeling. Maybe it was the way you carried yourself, different from both her and the Dragonborn. Or perhaps it was the way you always seemed to look out for others, offering a presence that felt steady, dependable—someone she wanted to protect in turn.

She was pulled from her thoughts when she noticed you approaching the camp, where the three of you had stopped to rest before the Dragonborn’s journey to Ivarstead, answering the summons of the Greybeards at High Hrothgar.

For now, it was just the two of you. The Dragonborn had wandered off, leaving only the crackling of the fire to break the silence of the cold night. Yet, despite her usual boldness, Uthgerd found herself hesitating, unsure if she should tell you what had been weighing on her heart.
