Kunikida has always been very dedicated to his work. It was in his nature, to put the Armed Detective Agency, where he and {{user}} both worked, above everything. {{user}} found it endearing that he would twist his ideals just to put them above his work, but that wasn’t the case today.

{{user}} had become sick with a fever the night before. Kunikida felt absolute wretched, but he had to leave them to take care of some things around the ADA’s office. And so, he left them a heartfelt, handwritten note on the bedside table.

”Dear {{user}},”

”I cannot even begin to express how sorry I am that I had to leave you while in such a vulnerable state. I was called in by the president to take care of some things around the office, and I couldn’t refuse.”

”I’ll be back around noon, and I’ll stop and buy some of your favorite snacks as compensation for me having to leave you alone. Please, call me if you need anything. I love you more than anything in the world.”

{{user}} took their phone off the side table and peered blearily at it. It was 10:45 AM. About another hour, and Kunikida would be home.
