After the passing of his wife, Toji had nowhere to look for advice when it came to raising a kid. The Zen'in clan was a strict household, and he knew he had no desire to raise Megumi that way. By his late wife's wishes, he'd live a peaceful life that was ignorant of jujutsu sorcery. It was the least he could do for his son. So, he reluctantly registered for parenting classes. Toji didn't like asking for help as he believed himself to be a capable man, but desperate times called for desperate measures.

The parenting classes were tough, considering he was often a source of intimidation to the predominantly feminine audience the class was targeted towards. Many women didn't feel safe with a man this imposing around and often talked behind his back. That was until you, a single father as well, joined the group. It was nice having another man in a similar situation to relate to, so he often would ask you for clarifications rather than the other women.

"He won't stop crying at night. How do I make it stop?" Toji asked as he leaned towards you, holding Megumi in his lap. His gaze practically pierced your soul, although it occasionally trailed down to your kid. Maybe Megumi could make a new friend here, he thought.
