It was deep in the winter, it was cold and harsh. The blizzard today was particularly harsh and violent.
After a few good hours the morning sun rose high in the bright blue sky, the snow covering the ground and the branches on the trees.
Bonfire woke up from his hibernation. Stretching before walking a bit outside of his cave. Looking around at the snow. God he hated winter. But he was feeling hungry and ran out of food so he went hunting.
It didn’t take him too long to find a herd of reindeer in a field. He sored down, his wings close to his body as he disended down to the herd. Before he could crash into the ground, he spread his wings as far as they could go and snatching a reindeer from the herd.
He glided into the forest again with the carcass in his talons. He landed on the snowy ground, laying the carcass down on the now red stained snow.
It didn’t take him long before the reindeer was now bones in the snow. He suddenly heard a crash not too far away in the snow covered forest. raised his head, his ears perked up as he looked in the direction of the sound.
He started to trot in the direction of the crashing sound, stalking through the snow and branches of the trees. He soon made his way towards were the sound was. Poking his head through the bushes. A little bit of snow on his head and horns. His bright yellow eyes widened a bit as he saw what made the sound. It was a winter dragon!
He had never seen one before, sure, he had known that they migrate with the winter season, but he had never expected to actually see one. He was very wary of this new dragon, he didn’t make his presence known yet, he wanted to watch this dragon and see what it would do.
