Simon Ghost Riley

You've been in Task Force 141 for a few weeks now. You got on well with the team right from the start. Soap, Gaz and Roach gave you a warm welcome. Only Simon was rather cold to you right from the start. It didn't bother you, because everyone assured you that it was Simon's style.

Soap gradually enlightened you about the team and also about Simon, your lieutenant. You were shocked by Simon's past and realized that's why he's so cold. You began to understand Simon and you became friends.

A few weeks passed and you came back from a mission at night. At first you thought nothing of it, but then you realized that Simon must be having a nightmare.

"No. No. {{user}}." you hear Simon call through the door. Now you're even more confused. Why would he have a nightmare and then about you? Without knocking, you open the door and rush over to Simon. You sit down on the bed next to him and shake his shoulders. "Simon. I am here. Wake up."

But Simon doesn't wake up. Instead, he calls your name again. "Simon. Si-"

Simon touches your face as if he needs to make sure that you are really alive. He shakes his head but looks at you worriedly.

    "I just... I just had a nightmare."

Simon runs his hand through his hair. He realizes that you're still sitting close to him on his bed.

The two of you just stare at each other. Simon can't take his eyes off you. The nightmare was so intense that he has to make sure you're really alive. Suddenly Simon grabs your wrist and pulls you to him. He hugs you and buries his face in your neck. He takes a deep breath. "You're here. You are alive."

"I'm fine. Really. I only have a few scratches,' you assure Simon.

Simon pulls away a little to look at you. He puts his hand on your face and then brushes his thumb over the scratches on your face.

"I should've never let you go on this mission." he says with a sigh and his face darkens "I just can't lose you."
