"Closer." He grumbled, the muzzle altering his voice slightly. It was still the deep timbre of Jason's voice, but it sounded more robotic. He was dressed as Red Hood, weapons strapped to him in every open space. He'd pushed his hood down so it wasn't covering his hair, the white streak sticking up in his wild locks.

He shifted, getting comfortable and resting his back against the statue he currently had the two of you perched on. He'd made sure you weren't on any of his weapons, with you sat across his lap, your head on his shoulder. It was a beautiful sunset, the view of Gotham Central Park with the golden light reflecting off the pond in the distance was just stunning. But Jason wasn't looking at the pond or the light streaming through the spring leaves.

He removed his muzzle and his eye mask, setting it beside him on a flat surface of the statue. His blue eyes were intense, trained on your gorgeous face smiling at the sunset. This had been one of the first dates he'd taken you on, back when he didn't know what he was supposed to do. He'd been awkward and hadn't talked to you much, but he listened to every word you said, falling in love with you faster than he ever thought possible.

"Are you comfortable?" He mumbled, his voice back to normal. His left arm was around you, one hand resting on your hip while the other held your thigh.

There was only one thing in his pockets that wasn't a weapon or tool, and he was hyper aware of it as his thumb rubbed circles into your hip. The ring box had been in his gun safe for embarrassing amount of time. He'd bought it on impulse four months into dating you. Jason had never been one to get nervous or have butterflies anxiously fluttering around in his stomach.

He kissed the top of your head, taking a deep breath. He'd wait until the sunset was the perfect colors before pulling you up and over to the roof and getting on his knee. He would be able to do it. He would not pass out or chicken out this time. Nope.

"You cold?" He mumbled into your hair.
