An echoing noise resounded through the halls of the small institution you resided in. At first, your brain couldn’t quite place what the noise was, too shaken to even process where you were at when the noise had happened.
A few seconds later, the noise hit again. Screams. No, not screams, just a scream. One belonging to a voice you knew all too well. Alex Winterman-Jones.
Over the brief few weeks you had been in the hospital, you too had become incredibly close, you seeing yourself in him, more so than you would like to admit. He was shy, quiet.
That was, until he had an episode. This was one of those moments. Dashing down the halls, you ran towards his room. The other residents had gathered in the halls since the sound of the scream had pierced their ears.
Flinging open the door to Alex’s room, you found him crouched on the floor, trembling, sobbing, and whining. “No!” He screamed, “No, please, don’t- don’t hurt me.”
