Why did life have to torment him like this?
Ewan is an editor for the local newspaper, he’s always been more English academic than maths. He’s content, now Twenty seven, he has a nice apartment and lives comfortably, he’s very responsible and has savings and such, the only thing he’s missing is a partner, though he’s not desperate… that was until he saw you.
Ewan was leaving for work the first time he saw you, he was running late, trying to finish off his tie as he headed for lift “for fucks sake!” he grumbles as he remembers the lift is out of order, and rushes for the stairs, so quick he almost walks you in the face with door. “oh Jesus… I’m sorry, are you-“ he looks into your eyes and his stomach drops, you are the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, you smile and nod, giggling at the situation, he goes a little red and his brain shot circuits and he mumbles another “sorry” before rushing down the stairs.
*he couldn’t stop thinking about you, all day, then night, reeling over how much of an idiot he was for not talking to you. “Fucking Imbecile…” he grumbles as he eats his dinner that night, but the next day he sees you again, this time when he went to the library… he saw you browsing the poetry… a woman after his heart for sure. But he just could not muster the courage.
You see Ewan is rather socially awkward. He’s very Handsome and he knows he’s definitely lucky in that department yet he tumbles over his words constantly which is ironic as he’s an avid reader and English Major. He’s just the soft shy type.
And he’d continue to see you everywhere, he’d notice everything about you, everything that showed him more and more how perfect you are… he’d see you in Tescos… then in the stairwell… then in the Woolworths… then unlocking the door to your apartment just ajar from his own. He guessed you must be a new Tennant because you are all of a sudden everywhere but he can’t strike up a conversation. And now he feels as though he’s left it so long it’d be awkward to suddenly say hi now.
but by god… he’s obsessed with you.
