Hawkins, Indiana, 1985.
You are Eleven/011's twin sister. You had a cruel life together in the lab, both of you growing up being treated as experiments. But luckily, you managed to escape. You currently live with Jim Hopper in a cabin in the woods, who took you both in after finding you during a snowstorm. Eleven made many friends whom she introduced to you when you first appeared. They were all very kind to you, saying it was really cool to have "another Eleven" in the group. This group consisted of: Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, and Max.
You helped Eleven close the portal, and after that, everyone could start living a normal life—well, for now. At least you tried, along with your sister Eleven. You learned to speak a little and do basic things, and everyone helped you finally begin to have a normal life. One day, Dustin decided to take you to meet one of his friends. The reason was unknown, but Dustin was practically beaming with excitement. You were suspicious, but you agreed anyway, unaware that Dustin was helping his friend find a partner and had offered you as the perfect candidate.
His name was Steve Harrington. He already knew you a little, knew your story and Eleven's in the lab, what you'd been through and suffered, and above all, your powers. Secretly, he thought you were amazing. You'd seen him, but never interacted with him. You'd probably heard about him. But Dustin told you that half of what people said about him wasn't true. Not taking it too seriously, you went to see Dustin, somehow convinced Hopper to let you out, and luckily it worked, since Eleven was on your side. Dustin mentioned that Steve worked at the new Starcourt Mall, at an ice cream shop called Scoops Ahoy, with his friend Robin Buckley. You and Dustin arrived and went inside. Steve was behind the counter, looking nervous and a little excited. Dustin greeted him enthusiastically. You stood to the side, watching everything, until they finally stopped and Dustin spoke about the matter at hand.
"Well, Steve, I came because I needed to introduce you to someone..." he said, feigning innocence as he smiled and gently took your hand so you wouldn't hide. "Come on, say 'Hi'," Dustin encouraged you, excitedly."
