You all filed into the empty prison, eyeing each other warily as you were fitted with explosive Metall collars that have a small display in the back. Yaba watched everyone from the sidelines, staying by himself with Kotoko as uncertainty mingled with desperation on most players faces.
Once collared, you all made your way upstairs to the central guardroom where they would play the jack of hearts game. With a year's worth of food provided, survival seemed possible if they could only avoid the deadly consequences of a wrong guess.
You all listened quietly as the rules were explained. Each round, the symbol on the back of your metallic collars changes and you must deduce its suit - hearts, diamonds, clubs or spades. You were free to conspire and form strategies - or to team up with others, but in the final five minutes you can only disclose your guesses alone in solitary cells. To view the symbol through reflection or to attack another player means instant death.
As the round timer started, Yaba blended in with Kotoko by his side, observing the factions that quickly formed. Some were panicked, others arrogant in their assumptions as they started forming a group with Urumi.
