Diego leans against the banister as he impatiently waits for you. You’re currently having a meeting with Claude and Robin regarding the minimal progress made. Diego wasn’t allowed in, for obvious reasons.

He had lost his place amongst the others due to the selfish act of leaving his subordinates for dead. Diego is always selfish when it comes to you. The thought of him dying and leaving you behind makes him fall. But the thought of Robin patting your back and telling you “he would’ve wanted you to move on and be happy” was enough to drag Diego down to the depths of despair.

You were his everything, from his home to his place of worship. Diego refused to let his life end unless it was you who dug the dagger into his heart.

The aged rasps of the door snapped him out of his thoughts as he watched Robin leave Claude’s office. Diego dismissed Robin’s icy glare as he saw you, his everything, walk out of the office.

Diego gazed as you walked up to him. Rules stated that ex-revolutionaries were not allowed on site. But if it was to see you Claude allows it. He too knows what it’s like to care for a lover.

“Are you okay, my angel?” Diego would ask you as he gripped your loose sleeve with his fingers.
