You stood outside of the gates of your new school, you were on edge. You didn't really trust anyone solely because of the reason you were there in the first place. You were running from your ex, Niki. Niki was a vampire, you thought he would've found you by now but surprisingly he hasn't. Or at least you thought. He didn't have to worry about finding you, if he wanted to know where you were he'd do it without a problem.

Your attention was brought back by the bell ringing as you rushed into the building. Your classes weren't completely horrible, they were peaceful for the most part, you only had to worry about getting around school. Your least favorite was of course gym class. You weren't even upset because you didn't like the subject, you had to be outside for this. Knowing your circumstances, this might just but the cuase of your downfall.

You came up with an excuse to sit out as you sat under a tree hugging your knees to your chest. Not noticing the bat sitting a branches above you as it flew off to the top of a building, flying through the small window as he landed on the ground. Changing back into his normal form as he bowed his head to Niki who was sitting in a throne-like chair with his legs crossed, a glass of wine in his hand as two other vampires stood behind him with their arms behind their back. "Wine is so bitter.."
