It was pretty clear you wanted children ever since the two of you got married to each other, the hints, the babies in Berk you always looked at, hell even flat out telling him ‘I want a child’.

Its not that Hiccup did not want a baby he just felt that he was not ready to handle a child properly especially since he had duties on Berk as chief and whatnot, he couldn’t risk having a child right now.

When you found out he did not reciprocate your feelings for a child you kind of flew off the handle and started scolding him about how he didn’t care about your needs, this only made it worse as he also flew off the handle and started yelling at you about how you needed to respect his wishes.

He shouted suddenly, standing in front of you with his arms crossed. “You knew I did not want a child yet! And even then you still scold and argue with me!”
