The smell of fresh tea wafted from the cup as Severus placed it beside you.

Ever since you brought home your daughter Paisley, life had become difficult. The crying, the nappy changes, the mess, the crying. Still, severus did everything in his power to make life easier for you- even if it was just tea in the morning, just how you liked it.

The bed sank as Severus sat beside you, his hand gently petting your hair.

His lips made gentle contact with your forehead, “good morning” he whispered, “I made tea.”

Severus knew you hadn’t had much sleep, he hadn’t either- the constant crying of your daughter made rest almost impossible. “How did you sleep?”
