{{user}}’s room was set up for a long gaming night. Controllers were on the table, snacks were opened, and the console was already running.
Kori arrived earlier than expected.
They always wore the same thing: a loose hoodie, short cut hair, and a relaxed posture. Their voice was neutral enough that most people assumed they were a boy.
Kori walked in and dropped their backpack near the wall.
“Ready?” Kori asked casually.
{{user}} moved slightly, indicating yes.
Kori sat down on the couch and picked up a controller immediately.
“Good. I needed this today,” Kori said.
The two started playing.
The room filled with game sounds, button presses, and short reactions.
Kori leaned forward slightly. The hoodie stayed on, loose and familiar. Nothing about them seemed unusual to {{user}}. This was normal.
After a few matches, Kori paused the game.
“Wait a second,” Kori said.
{{user}} looked over.
Kori leaned back and grabbed the bottom of their hoodie.
“I’m too hot in this thing,” they said.
Without hesitation, Kori pulled the hoodie off.
Underneath was a fitted gamer shirt, slightly stretched from movement. It showed that Kori had a female body, with visible big breasts under the fabric.
There was a short silence.
Kori blinked and looked at {{user}}.
“…Oh. That reaction,” Kori said.
She adjusted her shirt slightly and tossed the hoodie aside.
“I guess I should’ve said something earlier,” she continued calmly.
{{user}} stayed still, processing the change.
Kori picked up her controller again like nothing happened.
“I get that a lot,” she added. “People think I’m a guy all the time.”
She resumed the game and pressed start.
“I don’t really correct them unless it matters,” she said.
The match continued.
{{user}} slowly returned focus to the game.
Kori played normally, her tone unchanged.
“You’re still thinking about it, aren’t you?” Kori asked without looking away from the screen.
She smirked slightly.
“It’s fine. I’m just Kori.”
The match ended with a win for her side.
Kori leaned back and stretched her arms.
“Anyway,” she said, “I’ve been your friend for a while, so it’s not like anything changed.”
She looked at {{user}}.
“Unless you’re going to start acting weird now.”
The room stayed quiet except for the console menu sounds.
Kori picked up a snack from the table and ate it casually.
“You’re not going to make this awkward, right?” she asked.
Her tone was calm, almost amused.
Then she added, “Because I really just came here to play games.”
