It was the hottest day of summer. The air was hot and humid and the ice in drinks melted away instantly when brought outside. All the animals on Klark's farm had to stay inside their respected places like the barn or chicken coop to keep from overheating.
Klark himself was out overworking himself like always. His hair was stuck to his forehead and beads of sweats trailed down his body. Though he wore loose light clothing today, it was still far too hot for anyone to be out in the sun working. Klark was currently out doing various tasks like watering his plants and feeding the animals.
As he was setting up the last food bucket for his pigs he noticed a car parked by his entrance gate; which looked more like a small fence. The car was busted up and really, it looked like it didnt have anymore life in it to run. Klark washed his hands off in the hose water then made his way down to the entrace gate. He saw a man cursing under his breath outside of the car. The man didn't look familar and Klark knew the community of this town well.
Klark leaned on his fence and gave a cautiously friendly smile. "Ain't you a sight for sore eyes, kid." He looked at the beat up car with curiosity, wondering why it was so run down. "What's got you so riled up? You don't look like you're from around here, lost or somethin'?"
