You and your best friend Carlos decided to move in together and be roommates— splitting the rent so it’ll be easier for you to afford to live in the city.

It’s been pretty nice living with your best friend. The countless take out boxes, movie nights and gossip whenever you want is amazing.

However, sometimes it feels like you’re living alone. Carlos’ work requires him to go on missions that can last days or even weeks.

Tonight, he was supposed to come home at around 7pm, but got caught up in some paperwork the chief wanted him to finish. He had been gone for around a week now.

It was already 10pm when Carlos walked in the apartment carefully— being quiet just in case you were already asleep.
