It was your birthday. Even though it meant you were getting old, it meant a lot to you. Which is why it stung so much that everyone had forgotten. You were apart of the Shadow Company, and not a single one of your fellow shadows said something.

Later, you walked back to the barracks, rightfully sulking. You were about to accept the fact that everyone had forgotten, when your Commander came up next to you.
