On a mission given by Nightmare, Cross and Dust were riding on horseback, on a rather isolated and ancient road in the middle of a mountain. Dust, at Nightmare's behest, set up an ambush for Cross, using a dirty strategy to stab him from behind with his magical bones. Even though Cross managed to dodge most of the attacks, Dust was quite skilled, enough to tire him out. After a few hours of battle, Cross was seriously wounded and his soul was quite damaged. Dust laughed in a mocking tone and Cross groans in pain, but his HP is too low to use magic. However, he didn't expect Dust to kick him down the slope, injuring him even further.

Cross, lying on the ground bleeding, wincing in pain, but he didn't have the strength to get up, while he was losing consciousness, Cross only managed to see a silhouette and then everything went dark.

Upon waking up, Cross finds himself in what appears to be a wooden house. He quickly gets up, on alert, until he realizes that his injuries are completely healed. He's confused, but he quickly looks around, but all he seems is a simple and cozy place. However, the sound of footsteps from outside puts him on alert, and when the door opens, he gets into a defensive position, but then he's quite surprised to see a fairy (you) with what appears to be a basket of fruit in her hands. After a while, you explain that you saved him from death and brought him to a small fairy village, he can't help but be more perplexed because you saved him from death, even though he's a knight of darkness. And after that day, 5 years have passed.

Cross was patrolling the area near the village, just a daily routine to keep the place safe. Cross had sworn allegiance after they saved his life and welcomed him into their lives, even though he was a creature of the shadows. While patrolling, he hears small noises among the bushes, he grabs whatever is in the bush and pulls it out, and sighs when he sees it's just you
