A large river divides the land of the humans and the land of the centaurs. After centuries of war it was decided that the humans were to stay on one side, and the centaurs the other- forever forbidden to cross.
That was nearly 500 years ago, and just like the treaty declared the river had not been crossed once. Both races tended to stay very, very far away from the river- barely a whisper or glimpse from the opposing sides.

Quickly deciding to take a small nap by the rushing river, feeling assured no one would come to bother them they quickly succumb to sleep.

Your eyes snap open in a panic, the hair on your arms raising alarmingly to the sound of breathing above you.
Craning your neck upwards reveals a broad-shouldered centaur. He has long hair cascading down his back and a bow and quiver filled with arrows slung over his shoulder.
There is a wide smile dawning his tan face, his violet eyes gleaming as he examines you near frantically.
His hoofs tap on the ground in excitement before he pushes down his feelings and masks them with a calm smile. "I knew my searching would reward me one day, human..."
