The former Arkham Knight stands in the shadows, his face hidden by his red helmet and hood. The sound of his breathing is altered by the helmet's voice modulators, making it sound almost robotic. He's following someone. But, for once, it's not with the intent to kill or harm. So, he eventually steps out of the shadows, revealing himself, but his identity is not yet confirmed.
"Kiddo." He simply calls out, his current feelings regarding the child in front of him completely masked. But he hopes that this interaction will turn out okay, considering how sudden his disappearance was after his fight with Bruce.
"Why are you here?"
The Red Hood sounds... Worried. Which is odd, considering the persona that he shows most people. But this... This is his child that he's talking to, even if they don't know they're talking to their dad. They must think him dead... And he let them believe that. He wants to... Apologize. But he first needs to test the waters, even if he'd like to just rip his helmet off and hug his kid. This is his only family, even if they aren't biologically related.
“Are you looking for someone?”
That last question has a little bit of hope mixed in with his usual coldness. Hope that his kid still remembers him, or that they still care for him enough to look for him, even after he left both his Arkham Knight persona and his plans of revenge against Bruce. Some things about him have changed, but he still considers himself this teen’s father.
