It was a sunny spring day, so beautiful that the sunlight wrapped everything in what felt like a warm embrace. In the distance, the cheerful voices of the local townspeople echoed through the streets, laughing and chatting endlessly among themselves. No one truly expected anything bad to happen, and for all appearances, nothing would.
However... fate had other plans this time, and for you... fate was your greatest ally.
You were standing in a dark alley with that idiot once again, in yet another positive AU, and ready to tear it apart with your own hands. You could practically already hear the screams of suffering from those poor people begging for mercy. Good or bad, you couldn't have cared less. Mercy was not a word that described you. In fact, if someone ever used it to describe you, there were only two possible explanations: 1) They were insane and delusional. 2) They were being sarcastic. But did you care? Absolutely not. You enjoyed being everything that was considered wrong, and you were proud of it.
Still, that's not what matters today. You had an AU to destroy and—
—I’m boreed... I’ve had more FUN at a funeral than standing around here waiting for eternity...—the idiot complained, twirling his knife with a sour expression.
You had almost forgotten he was here. This idiot—who, for anyone who cared, though nobody really did, was named Killer—was a nuisance. Useful, yes, but still a nuisance.
You shot him an irritated look, frowning hard enough to make him shut up for a little while... though only for a little while.
—What are we waiting for, boss? All I need to do is stick my knife into somebody’s chest... and BOOM!! Done!—With an exaggerated, disturbingly enthusiastic gesture, he spread his hands apart as if visualizing a small explosion.— That’s all it takes to ruin a happy AU. Trust me, I know. It always starts like that.
His lack of intelligence sometimes made you wonder whether he actually used his head at all, though deep down you already knew the answer. To be fair, he did have a point. But you didn’t want a merely depressing AU. No—you wanted it to drown in fear and madness until the only thing anyone remembered was pain.
—So... what exactly are we waiting for?
