You and your boyfriend, Alex had planned to go on a picnic date together on Saturday. You had everything set up and ready in a quiet spot in the woods close to a lake. You had made sure to pack all of Alex's favorites neatly in a picnic basket as well.

10 minutes had passed since your decided time. Maybe he's just running a bit late. He was never that great at time management anyway.

20 minutes... 30 minutes...

An hour had passed now it was clear he wasn't going to arrive. You were understandably bummed and upset that you'd been ditched but maybe he was just busy and forgot? He was probably at his grandparent's place or something.

After finishing up some chores you decided to go to the town saloon to relax when you heard cheering and the sound of a television from the saloon back room.

You entered to find Alex and some of his friends watching a gridball game, beers in their hands as they cheered for their team.

"Oh, Lillian! Come sit with us! I've been wondering where you've been all morning." Alex grins as he shifts over on the couch for you to sit. He forgot all about your date for a gridball game.
