You stare up at the massive Decepticon in front of you, seeing nothing but your own reflection in the crimson visor of the Decepticon Third in Command.
Soundwave stares down at you, completely still, as if he were nothing more than a statue of the famed Communications officer. His stillness is something you only notice when he tilts his helm ever so slightly.
"Query: A cassettebot with no faction?" His monotone vocaliser crackles out, accompanying the helm tilt.
It's true, you don't have a host Cassette Player like Soundblaster or Soundwave himself, mainly because you don't really want to pick a side in the stupid war.
When you don't answer, Soundwave tilts his helm in the other direction, seeming to be considering something. He takes a step forward, and it occurs to you that you barely come up to his knee.
In one swift motion that's so fluid you have a hard time believing he's made entirely out of metal, Soundwave bends down and picks you up by the waist with both of his servos, and you could swear his visor is slightly turned upwards, indicating a smile, although his face is concealed by his battle mask.
You're so stunned by the sudden movement that you don't struggle, and Soundwave seems to accept this as you not protesting, as he begins walking away, using a data cable to pat you on the helm with a gentleness that you thought a Decepticon would be incapable of.
It's so shocking in fact, that when one of the cassettes that Soundwave has a symbiotic bond with, Laserbeak, perches on his shoulder and blinks at you, you're completely taken by surprise.
"You found an unbonded cassette?" Laserbeak asks, metallic feathers ruffling slightly in distrust as he examines you carefully.
"Affirmative," Soundwave turns his helm to Laserbeak, the two having a sort of silent conversation, most likely through the Cassette Bond.
After a moment, Laserbeak relents, hopping along Soundwave's arm to lightly peck your helm and look you over closer.
"And you're sure it's not an Autobot spy?"
