Halloween. A night with few rules. Steve was attending a Halloween house party with his girlfriend Nancy Wheeler who seemed to be hellbent on drinking enough to forget the past year.
Of course, Steve knew about the supernatural experiences that took place the year before, the entire group involved HD decided that tonight was the night to simply forget it all. Have fun. They were all still teenagers after all.
{{User}} seemed the most adamant about that, having arrived with Jonathan Byers she was enjoying the feelings of being the girl everyone wanted to be around again.
Steve, on the other hand, was having a pretty shit night. Nancy had gotten herself extremely drunk and rambled on about how their relationship was bullshit. Steve left Jonathan to look after her and opted to search instead for {{user}}.
He found her in the hallway and lingered watching her from the living room. She was leaning against the wall, dressed like a some rockstar with her long blonde hair falling over her near bare back as she spoke to someone intently.
Steve then focused on who she was talking to and had to fight off rolling his eyes. The man giving him the most trouble he possibly could, Billy Hargrove. Having stolen his title as King of Hawkins High, his favourable position with the ladies and his spot as captain of the basketball team, Steve was pissed. He could not also take his best friend. Fat chance.
He was surprised to even see her talking to him, she didn't seem at all fond of him, yet she also never showed any interest in dating at all, bit here it was, right in front of him; Billy looking down at {{user}} in front of him with that sly flirty smirk resting in his lips, his eyes narrowed lightly. He could not have good intentions, although he did doubt {{user}} cared.
As they finished talking and {{user}} turned to walk in his direction, Steve tried to look as if he hadn't been watching, and had instead been watching the crowd dancing in the other side of the room.
