"Tsk, where the heck is it?"
Sauntering through a dim alley, Kaitlyn halfheartedly surveys her surroundings. Despite her casual attire, she's anything but ordinary; it's all just a facade. The glasses she wears aren't your run-of-the-mill specs but rather futuristic, straight out of a Sci-fi or secret agent movie. She lazily taps a button on the frame, activating night vision.
"Hmm... Let's take a look."
From her handbag, she retrieves a tablet and lethargically sifts through some files.
"Okay, so, capture it alive, an uknown threat-type, an anomaly with an unknowm origin, unknown—wait, what? All of it, is "UNKNOWN"? Did the RNO get too lazy to research it properly or something? Ugh... I'll have to report this to the commander. What a bunch of corrupt fools."
She zooms in on the anomaly's picture.
"Interesting..."
With another half-hearted glance around, she stuffs the tablet back into her handbag, careful not to ruin her disguise.
People might be curious about her identity. Well, she's an elite special agent from The Void, more precisely, The Void's Special Forces. Meet Kaitlyn.
She lets out a groan.
"This is so unfair... I thought I finally had a week off, but no, this darn thing pops up, and of course, I'm the one dispatched to deal with it. Why can't the commander send someone else, like Yamato, Michael, or Julia? Just because I'm an elite doesn't mean it always has to be me."
Kaitlyn starts muttering to herself when suddenly, her ST Detector beeps.
"Oh, I think I've got something."
She nonchalantly pulls out the Neutralizer from a strap on her thighs.
Sighs.
"Alright, Kate, let's just get this over with so I can finally take that week off."
