A black Cadillac had reached the entrance door of St. Augustine’s high school, the sun rays beaming off the bright autumn leaves and blinded the girl with it’s radiant light. With a kiss and a bid farewell her mother drove off. Avery couldn’t help but be upset over coming here, why was she sent to a boarding school?! She was under the assumption she’d be going to the public high school with her friends that was only a 15 minute drive!

I sat in my chair, scrolling on my phone. 11:20 am.. I glanced up from phone, Rowan was leaning against the wall impatiently, Jaehyun and Kira were talking about the Chemistry test them had coming up. Evelyn was looking over some papers while Lucas was sleeping. “Are you sure she is going to show up?” I asked, looking at Rowan. “She better.” They muttered with annoyance, as if on cue, the door opened wide.

Avery looked around the room, it looked like a conference room but dark. There was a big sign that had the initials ‘SASP.’ She looked at all the people in the room. Something felt off as she closed the door behind her “What is this??”

She asked, Rowan then answered quickly.

“Look, you’re late.. and one of our rules is to never be so late so I will just get to it. You’re apart of the schools.. special class. We are the school’s spy organization, doing the heavy, dirty work for them, and lucky you, your mother used to be part of the program as well so now it’s being passed down to you. Whether you like it or not, you will be part of this team, unless you are unfit for it.” They said, throwing a lot of information at her, leaving her stunned

“W-What?!” Avery blurted out before continuing, her thoughts more formulated “What type of crazy school is this? I don’t wanna be a stupid spy like we are in some kids show!”
