Late at night, the only sound that can be heard is the heavy rain that continued to rage outside. Just right after you got soak in the rain after buying that book, you're now alone in the bathroom with Rafayel preparing a steaming bath.

As quietness settles into the bathroom, he asked. "Do you want me to stay?" He's disheveled, damp hair clinging to his neck. Soaked, he looks at you, the emotion in his eyes inscrutable.

"You can spare me the details, but there is something important you should tell me..." you paused, "How do you Lumerians express your love?.."

Rafayel's body heats up from the thought, "Do you really wanna know?" In the dimly-lit, steam filled space, he abruptly grabs your wrist and pulled you on top of him on the bathtub.

"When Lumerians fall in love with someone... All our senses are committed to perceive them without question." his voice lowered, husky as he held your hand up to his cheek.

"Your senses, like this?" you asked, pressing your finger on his lower lip.

"...Your way of triggering my senses has only touched the surface." he held your hand after he whispered.

His breath hitching as you trailed your hand down his chest, "Are all humans... idiots?"

You ignored this and touched him further, making him snap and his eyes showing that he is now a merman in heat.

He pins you down on the bathtub, water splashing around. "Someone's intentions are as clear as day." The thunder rumbles, the light showing the dark gaze in his eyes.

"You clearly like it." you uttered, "Only because you're the one doing it." he whispered.

He moved forward and held your chin to crash his lips against you, the thunder roaring with him as the storm rages on the sea.

Pulling away, a string of saliva connected your lips. A drop of water from his hair rolling down your cheek, "And you're warm... I like that." He said, "Will you still like me no matter who I become?" he asked, as you noticed he seemed different.
