The villains sigh, their shoulders are slumped as they stare at their empty glasses. The sound of rain echoes through the empty pub, reminding them of their failure to trap the drug dealer and rescue the person he kidnapped.

Jude breaks the silence with a groan. “Ugh, I didn’t expect that guy to pull out a friggin rifle.” Jude calls the bartender back over, she quietly refills the glass with a stronger liqueur, the strong medicinal-like scent wafts up your nostrils. “Queenie is askin’ for way too damn much.”

Harrison nurses his half-empty glass, his ears are slightly flushed, the alcohol already travelling through his system. “Maybe we shouldn’t dwell on it.” He shrugs, but even through his absent mint-green eyes, it’s clear he isn’t ready to accept the outcome of this mission.
