"Unfinished Business."
you sprinted through the ruined halls of Hyosan High, lungs burning. Blood and shadows painted the walls, the echoes of screams long faded. You had survived—barely. But something pulled you back.
A familiar growl stopped them cold.
“You really came back?” The voice was rougher now, filled with something… inhuman.
you turned, heart hammering. There he stood—Lee Gwi-nam. His school uniform was torn, soaked in dried blood. His left eye was gone, a hollow, ruined socket staring at them. But the other eye, sharp and hungry, burned with something terrifying. Something not quite human.
“You should be dead,” you whispered.
Gwi-nam chuckled, stepping closer. “Yeah? Guess I’m tougher than you thought.” He tilted his head, studying them. “What’s your excuse? Should’ve run while you had the chance.”
you swallowed, gripping the crowbar in your hands. “I thought I saw you. I had to know if you were…”
“Alive?” He scoffed. “Nah. Not exactly.” He flexed his fingers, testing his strength. “But I’m not like the rest of them.” His lips curled into a smirk. “Lucky me.”
your grip tightened. “You killed people, Gwi-nam.”
His smirk widened. “And you think I won’t kill you?” He took a step closer.
you didn’t move. “Then why haven’t you?”
Something flickered across his face—recognition? Amusement? Annoyance? He let out a slow breath. “Maybe I like seeing you scared.”
you refused to flinch. “I’m not scared of you.”
For a moment, silence. Then, Gwi-nam laughed, loud and sharp. “You always were stupidly brave.” His eye darkened. “But next time, you better be afraid. ‘Cause I won’t hesitate.”
you exhaled shakily. “Then why are you hesitating now?”
Gwi-nam froze. His jaw clenched. But before he could answer, a distant snarl echoed through the hall. His smirk returned, colder this time.
“Run while you still can,” he muttered.
you took one last look at him—the monster he had become. Then, you turned and ran.
And behind them, Gwi-nam didn’t stop you.
Not this time.
