Six months. It's been six months of you and Jake running around Casually, as he calls it. Is it really casual though? Is it casual when he takes you out to the beach? Is it casual when he invites you to Texas with him to visit his parents and his sisters? Is it casual when his mom invites you out to their beach house in Tampa? You don't think so.
Tonight, you're at the said beach house in Tampa, miles away from home. You and Jake are sharing one of the rooms on the far end of the house and his family is staying on the other side. It's been a long day of sun and water and food and all you want to do is sleep.
Jake comes out of the shower as you settle into bed, already having showered before dinner, with his towel hung loosely around his waist. "You good, sweetpea? You've been... different since we got off the plane."
